Leanne Ansar is the type of woman that has this “I never overthink how I look” attitude that all of us try to achieve every day, yet she does it with style and authenticity. She moved to the States to follow her dreams and may have taken with her the French “Je ne sais quoi” that we dream about. She is herself and with her elegant and subjective ways, reveals femininity and grace through her original content that can inspire all of our mood boards for the next 2 years.

Who is your current Muse?

My current muse is the classic Audrey Hepburn. Not only do I find her to be one of the most elegant women on this Earth but her work for the UN cannot be unnoticed. She carried herself with such poise yet was always herself, fun and quirky.

What does it mean to you to be a muse for other women?

To me, being a muse for women means that you are someone that women can look up to, someone that influences us for the better, someone that makes us strive to make good decisions… Or bad! Haha.

What is your life motto?

To be kind and try to understand others. I know it’s simple, but it’s so true. There is so much negativity and bitterness in this world.

Kindness can go a long way. If more people tried to take time and understand others perspectives, I think we could all communicate better.

Where do you find inspiration to keep producing original content on your Social Media platforms?

I used to find a lot of my inspiration from other accounts but now I rely mostly on just my past and present. Growing up in a small village next to Tours in France, I was surrounded by its history and culture. I am just myself and I think that shows in my photos :)

Your style is very poetic and your aesthetic very French inspired. How are you able to preserve both of your cultures in America?

I am very fortunate to be able to go back to France to visit family a couple times a year. My grandparents always spoil me with Vouvray and my mother with oysters from the Bassin of Arcachon. Once I had my little taste of home, I go back to New York filled with love and am able to keep my French culture alive. In summary, it’s all in the food and my family.

What does sustainable and ethical fashion mean to you?

Sustainable and ethical fashion means to me that where the fabric comes from and how it is made does not effect the planet and/or people negatively. An interesting fact that I found out about is that up to 75% of cotton coming from Syria or Turkey is actually stolen by ISIS and then resold on the market. So I try to make sure that companies I buy from do not buy their cotton from there. And to me, ethical is when people who fabricate the products are treated with fairness and kindness.

What has been most inspiring to you about Casa Muza?

When I think of Casa Muza, I think of freedom, femininity, and the power a woman has. I think of how I can impact the planet in a positive way. Casa Muza inspires me to be truly free, feminine, and powerful.
