Casa Muza was founded in 2018 in New York City’s Lower East Side, born out of a search for a studio space to continue creating MUZA, our in-house ready-to-wear brand. What began as a personal need for a creative workspace quickly evolved into a storefront and studio — an intimate space for community-building through art, fashion, and design. Casa Muza became both a home for our collections and a platform to showcase the work of other Latin American and Caribbean designers.

In 2020, we relocated to Williamsburg, Brooklyn, where the project continued to grow into a curated boutique and creative hub dedicated to sustainable design, artisanal craftsmanship, and the celebration of our Latin roots. After several inspiring years in New York, we closed our physical storefront in November 2024 to focus on expanding production in Puerto Rico and deepening our collaborations with artisans across the Caribbean and Latin America.

In 2025, Casa Muza expanded to Puerto Rico—deepening our production, reconnecting with our heritage, and cultivating closer collaborations with local artisans. Today, we proudly operate between Puerto Rico and New York, weaving the creative energy of both places into each piece.

Our journey from a physical storefront in New York taught us the value of slowing down and creating with intention. It reminded us what truly matters: the product, the process, and—the heartbeat of our work—the stories carried in every garment.

Polet Guzmán, a Puerto Rican artist and designer, is the founder and creative director of Casa Muza. Her journey began at the School of Fine Arts in San Juan, where she first explored fabric as a medium for wearable art. That practice grew into MUZA by Polet Guzmán—a brand deeply rooted in Caribbean culture, ancestral wisdom, and the strength of women across generations.

Today, we work between our studio in Puerto Rico, our base in New York, and a workshop in Ciudad Vieja, Guatemala—collaborating closely with artisans in each location. Every piece is crafted with care using natural fibers, sustainable techniques, and textiles sourced from family-owned mills committed to ethical, circular production.

MUZA by Polet Guzmán is our in-house line, inspired by Puerto Rican traditions and Latin American heritage. Each piece blends modern silhouettes, hand-printed details, and a nomadic, bohemian spirit—celebrating the power, beauty, and resilience of Latin women.

At Casa Muza, we don’t just make clothes—we tell stories, champion cultural identity, support local communities, and design with purpose and deep respect for the Earth.
